'Octomom' says yes to PETA, no to porn

LOS ANGELES, March 26 (UPI) -- Nadya Suleman, the Los Angeles-area woman who gave birth to octuplets last year, turned down an offer to star in an adult film, her attorney said.

But the woman known as "Octomom" did accept an offer from People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals, which her attorney says, will pay Suleman to post a sign on her lawn, the New York Daily News reported Friday.

The sign, which promotes controlling the pet population, says: "Don't let your dog or cat become an 'Octomom': Always spay or neuter. PETA."

PETA reportedly offered her $5,000 for being able to post the sign in her yard, The Daily Telegraph reported.

Suleman's attorney, Jeff Czech, said the single mom and her 14 children were facing foreclosure on their home. He said he was negotiating to refinance a $450,000 balloon mortgage payment on her home near Los Angeles that was due two weeks ago.

In accepting the PETA offer, Suleman turned down an offer by Vivid Entertainment, a major player in the adult film industry, to pay off her mortgage if she would star in a blue movie, the British publication said.

"No porn. Just PETA," Czech said. "Nadya prefers animals over men."
